On 26th January i had the pleasure of presenting Anna Wilson & Dr Martin Highley from the Oncology Department at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth with a cheque for £1042.93. The Oncology department are one of our charity beneficiaries and they are extremely personal to myself.
They do a wonderful job caring for the needs of every patient more than 100% and i know personally myself without their love and care i wouldn’t be here right now. So it was a great personal honour to present them with a cheque’ . We will continue to support them and we will work together to create more awareness for Men Cancer.
On Sunday 8th March, we held a charity football match between a Dash of Silver X1 (that was made up of friends & family) v Plymouth Argyle Legends at Bolitho Park, home of Plymouth Parkway Football Club. It was a very close game where both teams played their hearts out but unfortunately Dash of Silver lost 1-0 to a goal in the last 10 seconds of the game & the Plymouth Argyle Legends won the Dash of Silver trophy. We had 120 spectators threw the gates on a wet day and £436 was raised, but most importantly more awareness was created. The kits were sponsored and supplied by Walkabout Plymouth
Daniel has presented the first donation from Dash of Silver, to CLIC Sargent, one of our nominated beneficiaries for 2014.
Each of our three charities have a donation of £1042.93, raised from a number of events held during 2014.
